About the role
This is a permanent, on-site customer service position based in Dunedin City, Otago. The working pattern is:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:45 pm
- Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 am to 5:15 pm
In this role, you will be a key part of the in-store customer experience, helping shoppers with a wide range of enquiries and ensuring they receive prompt, professional support.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries across sales, hire purchase contracts, credit applications, and cash transactions.
- Support customers through the buying process with clear, helpful service.
- Address and resolve customer concerns quickly and proactively.
- Work to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Contribute to a positive in-store experience through strong teamwork and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous exposure to retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
- A professional phone manner and the ability to communicate clearly.
- A calm approach when dealing with busy or challenging situations.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lift heavy items, use ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
