Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Credit Union Associate to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. This full-time permanent role reports to the Head of Credit Union Services and primarily supports the Credit Union team with various operational and client-related tasks. The associate will play a key role in account management, compliance adherence, report submissions, and event support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with onboarding new credit union clients, including KYC verification, managing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring responses are timely and high-quality.
- Perform account maintenance tasks to keep all records current and compliant with regulations.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements relating to valuations, transactions, and custody fees.
- Monitor client accounts daily, overseeing payment processing, movement of funds, and transaction reconciliations.
- Administer interest coupon payments across deposit providers, ensuring accuracy and punctual application.
- Assist with annual audits by coordinating documentation delivery and fulfilling requests.
- Maintain internal tracking systems such as revenue files, credit union master lists, and compliance logs.
- Support quarterly risk reporting activities, including market data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and preparation of presentations.
- Aid the Head of Credit Product in designing and delivering investment products like bonds, deposits, and structured products.
- Facilitate ongoing client communications, such as weekly bond updates and market insight delivery.
- Participate in and provide support for industry sector events throughout the year, including potential travel.
- Work independently, demonstrating initiative and effectively resolving queries.
- Collaborate as a flexible and adaptable team member, adjusting to changing workloads.
- Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Employ excellent time management and organizational skills to balance multiple competing priorities efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements
- One to three years of experience in a finance support role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of operational risk management principles.
- Ability to perform well under pressure, meeting high standards despite tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and demanding client and dealing desk requirements.
