Job Location and Salary
This position is based in New York, New York, with a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 per year.
Position Summary
The Creative Strategist role involves blending data analysis, storytelling, and content creation to develop high-impact marketing concepts. The successful candidate will craft original paid social content and creator-led assets across multiple verticals, translating ad performance metrics into improved messaging and creative iterations. This role requires both strategic thinking and practical execution, including filming, designing, editing, and refining creative deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Creative, Content, and Growth Marketing teams to deliver high-performing social and native ad creatives.
- Evaluate advertising metrics, record insights, and apply findings to innovate messaging angles, hooks, and creative formats.
- Maintain and pitch a portfolio of testable concepts during weekly team meetings.
- Keep abreast of trends in social media, advertising, creators, and design to enhance client campaigns.
- Develop briefs, scripts, messaging, hooks, and shot lists for creator-led, user-generated, and in-house content.
- Produce and edit various paid media assets including short-form videos, voiceovers, demonstrations, lifestyle clips, photography, and graphics.
- Handle creator sourcing, communication of campaign needs, asset reviews, feedback, and final delivery oversight.
- Ensure content authenticity and alignment with brand identity and platform specifications.
- Contribute original content to GeistM's internal user-generated content and photography collections.
- Create flexible creative templates, layouts, and visual components to support paid media campaigns.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently from ideation through to completion while upholding quality and deadlines.
- Leverage AI technologies to enhance ideation, scripting, briefing, editing, design, and iterative creative processes.
- Investigate and implement innovative tools and workflows to boost creative output and production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Design, Advertising, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Between 2 to 3 years of experience producing short-form social or performance marketing content.
- Proven ability to utilize advertising data and creative insights to guide concept development and iterations.
- Strong conceptual and copywriting skills for creating hooks, scripts, briefs, messaging strategies, and shot lists.
- Hands-on experience with filming, designing, editing, and producing original creative materials.
- Proficiency with editing and design tools such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and/or Canva.
- Solid understanding of design principles, diverse social platforms, content formats, and paid media standards.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Preferred experience collaborating directly with creators or influencers.
- Comfortable with on-camera appearances and voiceover recordings.
- Experience employing AI tools to streamline creative production.
- Must submit a portfolio demonstrating both strategic creativity and execution; LinkedIn profiles will not suffice.
