CoreCivic is seeking a Correctional Officer for an immediate opening in Nicholls, Georgia. The role is centered on maintaining safety, order, and professional standards in a secure institutional environment while providing direct supervision and care for inmates/residents.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.03 to $23.23 per hour.

Job duties
The Correctional Officer is responsible for safeguarding the facility and supervising inmates/residents throughout the day, including in housing units, during meals, recreation periods, work assignments, and other daily activities. The role may require the use of weapons or force to preserve discipline and maintain order.
- Keep order and security within the correctional facility.
- Be prepared to work any shift and serve in a range of posts such as armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, and similar assignments.
- Use military service experience as relevant qualification support for positions that require criminal justice experience.
