Job Overview

The Cook III position at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha involves preparing ingredients by portioning, cutting, and storing food items. The role includes washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately, and preparing cold dishes. Cooking tasks require operating kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring food is properly cooked and tested for quality throughout preparation.

Work Environment & Safety

Maintain cleanliness and order in the food preparation areas, including tables, tools, knives, and equipment by cleaning and disinfecting. Monitor appliance and food temperatures to meet safety standards. Adhere strictly to all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report any maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management and complete all safety training and certification.

Professional Conduct

Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance. Protect confidential company information and assets. Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, nurturing positive working relationships and supporting teamwork to meet shared objectives by listening attentively and responding appropriately to concerns. Ensure all quality expectations and standards are consistently met.

Physical Requirements

The role involves long periods of standing, sitting, walking, and moving around during shifts. It requires bending, twisting, pulling, reaching above head and below knees. The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
