Controller - Airside Stands & Data

About the Role

This position is central to maintaining safety and efficiency at one of the world's busiest airports. As a Controller for Airside Stands & Data, you will work in a dynamic environment coordinating aircraft parking and managing operational data to ensure that personnel are optimally positioned to meet demand across both airside and landside areas. You will play a critical role in upholding operational standards and handling incidents and emergencies swiftly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor arriving, departing, and repositioning aircraft, making tactical adjustments only when necessary to uphold daily operational integrity.
• Propose improvements aimed at enhancing customer service by gaining a thorough understanding of operational goals and performance targets.
• Manage stand allocation during incidents or emergencies, maintaining control and decision-making in conjunction with the Senior Controller.
• Oversee slot coordination and approval processes to maximize airport capacity and revenue, while respecting immediate infrastructure limits.
• Ensure meticulous recording of all operational activities and accurate reporting of incidents or any non-compliant operations according to regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a higher Diploma in Aviation Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within airport operations.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in airport systems related to aircraft parking stands as well as operational resources like gate rooms, check-in counters, and baggage handling facilities.
• Understand Airside and Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems alongside Airport Conditions of Use.
• Be well-versed in Slot Allocation processes, data management, and consolidation techniques.
