Role Overview
The Contract Manager position is a permanent, full-time role located on-site in Singapore. This role involves overseeing the complete contract lifecycle for M&E and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities cover creating, reviewing, negotiating, and managing contract terms while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance personnel. The Contract Manager ensures contractual adherence, mitigates risks, and aligns contracts with project schedules and budgets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage contract drafting, review, negotiation, and administration for various projects.
- Monitor contract execution and performance, addressing variations, claims, and disputes proactively.
- Prepare comprehensive contractual documentation and reports.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve contract-related issues effectively.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project completion within stipulated timelines and budgets.
Candidate Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in contract management, including contract document drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Experienced in project administration and coordination within construction, engineering, or M&E sectors.
- Familiar with contractual laws, commercial terms, and recognized contract formats such as FIDIC and local Singapore contracts.
- Skilled in risk analysis, claims handling, contract variations, and resolving disputes.
- Well-versed in documentation control, record maintenance, and office software like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to facilitate teamwork across disciplines.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Holds a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, Business, or related disciplines; additional professional certifications are advantageous.
- Background in handling M&E or large infrastructure projects within Singapore is highly preferred.
- Flexible and adaptable to on-site work environments, maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
