Role Overview
We seek a motivated and skilled Shift Supervisor to lead the Contamination Control team at the Westport site. The role involves managing a group of contamination control operators who are responsible for sanitizing cleanrooms and ancillary areas within the Biological cores. It is a shift-based position requiring rotation between day and night shifts monthly.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, motivation, and growth opportunities to the contamination control team through effective communication, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Oversee and coordinate contamination control endeavors on assigned shifts, prioritizing tasks aligned with production schedules and Key Process Indicators (KPIs).
- Promptly escalate any risks or performance concerns to the Contamination Control Manager.
- Ensure all assigned zones and related documentation are always audit-ready.
- Conduct cleanroom sanitation in various biologics manufacturing areas, including Core 1 through Core 4, PFS, and sterility suites, performing post-batch, routine, and triple cleans as per Good Manufacturing Practices and set protocols.
- Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning agents, protective gloves, gowns, goggles, and manage waste disposal.
- Execute autoclave cycles and perform filter testing following established procedures.
- Adhere strictly to gowning protocols to minimize contamination risks.
- Complete all documentation and logs accurately and promptly in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to appropriate departments.
- Participate in required training sessions and ensure timely completion of eLMS training within deadlines.
- Comply fully with Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, and housekeeping standards, reporting any irregularities.
- Engage in GEMBA walks and process confirmations to identify improvement opportunities within the department.
- Follow all site policies and procedures to help achieve organizational metrics.
Qualifications
- A third-level qualification in science or an engineering-related field.
- Sound technical knowledge along with the ability to apply relevant concepts, procedures, and practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for collaboration across multifunctional teams.
