Consulting Analyst

About the Role

Cognizant, a leader in modern business technology, seeks a Consulting Analyst with a strong focus on healthcare technology products. This role demands over five years of expertise in technology product or platform management, particularly with healthcare tech solutions operating under regulated environments like HIPAA and PHI. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge in healthcare data, analytics, and AI-driven innovations, with the proven capability to lead complex initiatives across payer, provider, and care management spectrums.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee product strategy and roadmap for healthcare technology solutions integrating core healthcare functions, data interoperability, and AI capabilities.
• Translate clinical and operational healthcare workflows—such as Utilization Management, Case Management, and Prior Authorization—into scalable technology implementations.
• Drive outcome-focused product development grounded in healthcare operational realities, emphasizing automation, insight generation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and AI teams to deliver reliable healthcare analytics, clinical and operational dashboards, and AI-enabled decision support tools.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations and balance innovation with responsible AI practices, including explainability and audit considerations.
• Assess technology architecture options including APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, legacy system integrations, and data interoperability layers.
• Manage delivery through Agile and SAFe methodologies, with attention to risk, dependencies, release planning, and adoption metrics.
• Act as a trusted liaison between business, clinical, and operational stakeholders, communicating tradeoffs, risks, and benefits effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience in technology product roles with direct involvement in healthcare technology products.
• Demonstrated exposure to healthcare data domains, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and PHI.
• Strong domain expertise in healthcare operations, including payer, provider, care management, utilization management, case management, and prior authorization workflows.
• Experience translating clinical workflows into technology solutions prioritizing compliance and patient safety.
• Proficiency in healthcare data platforms, interoperability, AI use cases, and challenges related to data quality and lineage.
• Capability to guide AI applications from pilot phases to scalable production within healthcare contexts, balancing innovation with ethics and regulation.
• Familiarity with modern healthcare IT architectures, capability to evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, and adeptness with integrating complex legacy systems.
• Strong expertise with Agile/SAFe delivery models, risk and dependency management, and stakeholder communication.
