Construction Foreman

About the Role

AlphaX seeks a proactive Working Foreman to lead and collaborate with field teams on residential, multifamily, and select commercial construction projects, including renovations, additions, and new builds. This role focuses on hands-on site leadership and progress rather than administrative project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and participate alongside field crews on active building projects, including residential and light commercial sites.
• Ensure efficient daily jobsite operations, maintaining productivity, material organization, and on-schedule progress.
• Interpret construction plans, specifications, and field instructions to guide precise execution.
• Supervise carpentry and general construction activities, upholding high standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
• Effectively communicate site needs, updates, and issues with leadership, subcontractors, and team members.
• Assist with project initiation, site setups, inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts as required.
• Promptly identify and address field challenges to avoid delays.
• Travel regularly to job sites located within approximately one hour of Lancaster, PA.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a working foreman or lead carpenter with on-site leadership responsibilities.
• Background in residential construction including renovations, remodels, additions, new homes, or small commercial projects.
• Strong practical carpentry and general construction skills with proven ability to manage crews in the field.
• Competency reading and applying construction drawings, scopes of work, and guiding daily tasks.
• Experience must be hands-on field leadership rather than just project coordination or office management.
• Commitment to full-time jobsite presence without remote or hybrid work options.
• Reliable transportation to travel to Lancaster-area worksites, typically within one hour.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation package ranges between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, which includes bonuses and profit sharing opportunities. Benefits may encompass healthcare coverage, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
