Configuration Management Specialist

About the Role

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This full-time, on-site position requires a candidate with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience to effectively manage and maintain configuration items within the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify configuration items (CIs) and products for management.
• Plan and oversee the population of the Configuration Management System (CMS).
• Manage receipt, identification, storage, and retrieval of all supported CIs.
• Maintain comprehensive records and information within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Lead and prioritize scheduled audits; ensure corrective actions from Process or Database audits are implemented.
• Collaborate with other processes and CI owners to enforce adherence to the defined Configuration Management procedures.
• Conduct regular housekeeping and maintenance activities within the CMDB to ensure accuracy and currency of information.
