Position Overview

Sunray Woodcraft (Singapore), situated in Singapore, seeks a dedicated Compliance Officer to work on-site within the construction industry. This role primarily involves overseeing the continual enhancement and adherence to ISO standards within the company, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the current ISO systems aligned with SAC accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet ISO criteria effectively.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and evidence for external yearly audits and certifications.
  • Conduct internal audits to detect non-compliance issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Engage with external auditors, certification authorities, and regulatory bodies to facilitate compliance.
  • Lead planning and execution for adopting new ISO standards as mandated by management.
  • Create project timelines, documentation structures, and readiness checklists.
  • Provide training to stakeholders on updated requirements and processes.
  • Manage creation, periodic review, and proper version control of all departmental SOPs compliant with ISO.
  • Support departments to develop or enhance workflows and process documents.
  • Maintain a centralized document control system with routine evaluations for relevance.
  • Organize and lead quarterly compliance meetings with follow-up on action items.
  • Design compliance dashboards, audit summaries, and reports for management.
  • Identify compliance risks and suggest mitigating strategies.
  • Ensure conformity with legal, regulatory, and internal company policies.
  • Conduct training programs to raise awareness of ISO standards, compliance, and SOPs.
  • Promote a strong quality, safety, and environmental culture organization-wide.
  • Utilize root-cause analysis to spot process deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Adopt and recommend best practices to bolster compliance, efficiency, and audit preparedness.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications include ISO Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Experience ranging from 3 to 5 years in compliance management, quality management systems, or ISO administration.
  • Deep understanding of ISO management frameworks and auditing methodologies.
  • Excellent skills in documentation, analysis, and organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and lead compliance projects.

Additional Competencies

  • Expertise in conducting internal and external audits.
  • Proficient in SOP development and document control mechanisms.
  • Experienced in managing SAC-accredited systems.
  • Knowledgeable in compliance risk management techniques.
