Compliance Officer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, analytically minded, and collaborative Compliance Officer with a keen interest in fintech, digital assets, and the payments sector to join our Singapore office. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, this role offers a key opportunity to shape and influence the company's compliance framework and culture within a fast-evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and uphold a robust regulatory and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance structure and internal controls.
• Perform regulatory and AML risk evaluations to enhance internal processes and ensure adherence to Singaporean laws.
• Assist with regulatory communications and liaison activities with government bodies and authorities.
• Collaborate with various internal teams to guarantee compliance with all licensing and regulatory mandates.
• Stay informed about the latest regulatory changes in Singapore that affect payments and digital finance sectors.
• Support the management and coordination of regulatory and external audits for the company.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in compliance or a closely related area.
• Thorough understanding of Singapore's regulatory landscape with specific expertise in the Payment Services Act.
• Experience working with regulators or prior employment at a regulatory authority is advantageous.
• Expertise in the payments or fintech industries is considered beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
