About the Role
It Starts Here (ISH) is a vibrant, women-led community enhancing careers and businesses through retreats, live workshops, online masterclasses, and a newly launching members app. This internship centers on maintaining active, warm communication across DMs, inboxes, and within the app, fostering an engaging and supportive community environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle direct messages on Instagram and within the app, addressing inquiries promptly.
- Manage and triage the inbox by responding, flagging, or escalating messages to keep turnaround times short.
- Engage actively within the app community by replying to comments and welcoming new members.
- Publish masterclasses and sessions in the app platform to keep content dynamic and accessible.
- Help sustain a vibrant, caring atmosphere in the community space.
- Conduct research to identify potential collaborators and guest speakers for community events.
- Reach out to approved collaborators with briefs and maintain communication updates to the team.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write warmly and adapt tone to audiences effectively.
- Strong interest in community dynamics and strategies to encourage engagement and a sense of belonging.
- Reliable and trustworthy, able to manage confidential accounts and communications responsibly.
- Collaborative and dependable, eager to contribute to real projects beyond academic or personal work.
Internship Details
- Duration of 3 months with approximately 15 hours commitment per week.
- Fully remote work format.
