Commercial Porter

About the Role

Oasis Custodial Services is seeking a Commercial Porter to deliver daily cleaning and upkeep for numerous commercial properties, including office buildings and shopping centers. The position involves ensuring that common areas remain clean, orderly, and inviting for tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep lobbies, entrances, and heavily used spaces tidy and clean.
• Vacuum, mop floors, clean windows, and maintain public areas spotless.
• Regularly empty trash and recycling containers and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Restock restroom and break room supplies such as paper products and toiletries.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning needs like spills and litter in shared spaces.
• Sanitize restrooms and break areas to comply with health and safety standards.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment correctly and safely.
• Follow specified cleaning protocols tailored to different commercial environments.
• Adhere to safety regulations, including proper use and handling of industrial cleaning chemicals.
• Report significant maintenance or safety issues promptly to management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a porter or in commercial cleaning is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a busy setting.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and tenants.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Willingness to occasionally work during evenings or weekends.
