CNC Technician

Overview

The CNC Technician will be tasked with configuring, programming, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture highly precise components essential for oilfield drilling and completion tools. This role involves meeting exacting specifications, adhering to quality standards, and delivering within set deadlines while working collaboratively to enhance productivity and equipment efficacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate parts for oilfield drilling and completion equipment.
• Analyze and interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM designs.
• Oversee machine operations, making necessary adjustments to uphold required tolerances and surface quality.
• Inspect completed components using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with quality requirements.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery to resolve technical problems promptly.
• Work alongside engineers and workshop supervisors to refine machining techniques and processes.
• Maintain accurate logs of production metrics and machine activity.
• Guarantee all manufactured items conform to industry specifications and quality control benchmarks.
• Keep workspaces clean and organized, complying with all safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in CNC Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least three years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably within the oilfield drilling and completion tools sector.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and quality assurance standards.
• Skilled in technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Proficient in English with good verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
