Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Administrator

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Administrator with extensive expertise in managing and supporting large-scale Hadoop and Big Data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Linux system administration alongside experience in securing and optimizing enterprise data lake and data warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer Hadoop and Big Data platforms, ensuring smooth production support within enterprise data lake or warehouse settings.
• Implement and maintain secure cluster configurations using technologies such as Kerberos, TLS, Ranger, Knox, and LDAP.
• Collaborate with vendor teams to distribute tasks effectively and resolve platform issues.
• Conduct performance tuning for Spark, Hive, Impala, and YARN workloads to enhance system efficiency.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Hadoop/Big Data platform administration.
• Strong expertise in Linux administration, particularly with RHEL/CentOS distributions.
• Prior production support experience in enterprise data lakes or data warehouses.
• Knowledge of secure cluster setups involving Kerberos authentication, TLS encryption, Ranger, Knox gateway, and LDAP integrations.
• Experience tuning performance for Spark, Hive, Impala, and YARN job workloads.
• Experience working in banking, insurance, or other large enterprise environments is advantageous.
