Job description

Overview

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a dedicated Clinical Research Associate to join our Integrative Therapy, Health and Wellbeing Service in Manchester. This permanent, full-time role operates Monday through Friday within a leading oncology environment, providing an excellent platform to contribute to clinical research excellence.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of clinical study administration ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Trust policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, research nurses, principal investigators, and external partners to support trial setup, patient enrollment, and data management.
  • Maintain comprehensive research documentation such as investigator site files, manage study amendments, support safety reporting, and prepare for audits and inspections.
  • Assist in patient recruitment and informed consent processes, providing clear information and support to research participants.
  • Contribute to the collection and analysis of research data including qualitative interviews and clinical data extraction, and aid in reporting, publications, and service evaluations.
  • Support ongoing audit functions and quality assurance efforts to foster continuous service improvements alongside the Quality Manager and other team members.
