Our team in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia is currently expanding as we seek skilled Class 3 Truck Drivers.

Work Schedule and Benefits

• Regular day shifts from Monday to Friday with early morning start times
• Flexibility to adjust schedules occasionally to fulfill contract obligations and holiday coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and efficiently following assigned routes and contract requirements
• Complete assigned routes punctually while maintaining safety standards
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections each day
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment amid varying traffic and weather conditions
• Maintain continuous radio communication with team members and supervisors to receive directions and report any vehicle or route issues
• Promptly report any driving violations or license suspensions
• Stay vigilant of surroundings at all times to ensure safety
• Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment
• Uphold and promote the company's interests in all responsibilities undertaken
• Contribute to the safety of colleagues and the work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum requirement of a Class 3 license
• Prior experience in the Waste Industry is advantageous but not mandatory
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively
• Competence in safely operating necessary equipment
• Compliance with all relevant safety practices and company regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities for clear coordination with co-workers and supervisors
• Experience in waste or recycling sectors considered a plus
