About KidStrong

KidStrong is focused on helping families raise stronger, smarter, and more athletic children. The program is designed as a developmental accelerator for kids from walking age through 11 years old, with the aim of building confidence, independence, social skills, and classroom readiness.

KidStrong Plantation is expanding quickly and is seeking an enthusiastic Children’s Coach who enjoys working with both kids and parents, brings energy to the role, and wants to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives.

Role Overview

This position suits a coach with athletic or coaching experience, ideally including work with children from 12 months to 11 years old. The role centers on guiding children through brain, physical, and character development using the monthly curriculum. A key part of the job is explaining the purpose behind the program to parents and guardians in a clear, professional way.

Classes generally take place on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and in the afternoons from about 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Weekend sessions usually run from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Extra shifts may be available for birthday parties and camps, and scheduling can be flexible based on studio requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of roughly 6 to 15 children, typically spanning ages 12 months through 11 years.
  • Deliver the KidStrong curriculum according to the HQ programming plan.
  • Keep classes on time and maintain the correct pace throughout each session.
  • Welcome children and their parents or guardians personally at the start of class.
  • Create a lively, encouraging, fun, and professional class environment.
  • Demonstrate exercises and help manage their safe execution.
  • Keep the center tidy by cleaning the lobby, bathrooms, and blue floor areas, including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, wiping equipment, and sanitizing mats at the end of shifts.
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to log attendance, awards, and other class information for parent records.
  • Communicate professionally with teammates through Slack and check messages regularly even when not in the center.
  • Work comfortably in a physically demanding environment, including walking several miles in a shift and lifting or moving equipment up to 25 pounds repeatedly.
  • Provide hands-on support to children when needed to maintain safety and proper technique.
  • Help parents of children age three and under understand class flow and direction.
  • Attend monthly staff programming meetings for training on the upcoming curriculum.
  • Participate in additional mandatory meetings as directed by the KidStrong Director.
  • Learn and support Coach KidStrong Camp during school breaks such as winter and summer holidays.
  • Complete certification requirements through the HQ Training and Certification team.

Qualifications

  • A strong passion for working with children is essential.
  • Previous coaching experience with the relevant age group is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of physiology, exercise methods, and body mechanics is expected.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
