Role Summary
The newly established Chief Operating Officer (COO) role presents a prime chance for an accomplished leader to advance Judson's mission and accelerate growth across its multi-campus Continuing Care Retirement Community. The COO will spearhead operational excellence, oversee multi-campus operations, and ensure sustainability and quality care for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership overseeing daily operations across campuses and contracted partners to maintain uniformity and high service quality.
- Guide campus directors and department leaders to meet operational, financial, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage infrastructure including facilities, technology, and operational support to align with long-term asset sustainability.
- Lead human resources and information technology functions including management of outsourced vendors.
- Serve as the Integrator for the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to ensure cohesive cross-functional execution.
- Collaborate with the CFO for capital planning, budgeting, and infrastructure investments; oversee capital projects ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Promote a resident-focused culture prioritizing dignity, choice, and active engagement while driving continuous improvement in care quality and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain preparedness for inspections.
- Support financial management through performance monitoring and strategic planning using data-driven dashboards.
- Recruit and nurture high-performing teams fostering accountability, collaboration, and leadership development.
- Translate strategic plans into actionable operational initiatives, leading expansions and aligning efforts organization-wide.
- Act as liaison among campus leaders, executives, and board committees to support organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in healthcare, hospitality, or multi-site service environments.
- Demonstrated success in multi-campus operations and facility management.
- Experience with significant capital planning and project oversight is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) regulations and operations.
- Strategic and financially savvy leader with excellent communication and change management skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between campuses and availability for some evenings or weekends.
- Preferred experience implementing and integrating EOS methodology to improve operational alignment and accountability.
Compensation and Other Details
The salary range for this position is $230,000 to $250,000 annually, plus bonus. This role involves on-site work in Cleveland, OH and requires proven ability to drive growth while fostering a culture centered on innovation and resident well-being.
