Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in catalog/content or data operations focusing on data quality within e-commerce, marketplaces, retail, or similar environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Information Science, Business, Economics, or Statistics, or comparable practical experience.
- Proven ability to collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to define requirements and deliver scalable production projects.
- Strong command of SQL, including complex joins, aggregations, and window functions, alongside advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills for analysis and quality sampling.
- Knowledge of large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and evaluation techniques for data extraction and enrichment.
- Experience managing data quality metrics like accuracy, precision, and recall as well as conducting root cause analysis.
- Operational experience managing workflows with external vendors or data providers, including establishing SOPs, SLAs, and multi-step quality assurance processes.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude Code or Codex in daily work activities.
- Expertise in data wrangling, automating quality assurance, and scaling manual processes.
- Ability to create dashboards using platforms like Looker, Tableau, or Mode to monitor operational and quality indicators.
- Track record of success in dynamic, fast-changing environments with strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Background in ecommerce, grocery/consumer packaged goods data, or the technology start-up space.
