Position Overview

The Cashier is a pivotal role focused on delivering prompt, friendly, accurate, and secure service to customers. Responsibilities include processing checkout and return transactions and managing the Self-Checkout area efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer transactions including checkout, returns, and oversee Self-Checkout stations.
• Seek to increase product and project knowledge to provide valuable customer information and recognize sales opportunities.
• Comply with all company procedures and policies to reduce losses due to shrinkage.
• Head Cashiers support the team by directing Cashiers, facilitating price checks, approving sales system transactions and markdowns across multiple departments including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, and specialized zones like Pro Desk and Tool Rental.
• Serve as the first escalation point for customer concerns and assist with frontline supervision, coaching, and training of staff, especially new Cashiers, employing all available resources to enhance team skills.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Head Cashier position possesses more than one year of experience working as a Cashier.
