Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Cashier position is located in Indore. The role involves managing customer purchases via operation of point-of-sale (POS) systems with accuracy in cash, card, and digital payment processing, along with issuing receipts. Daily responsibilities include greeting customers, addressing simple product or pricing questions, ensuring correct billing and returns procedures, handling cash drawers, reconciling daily totals, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors. Additional duties include keeping the checkout area clean, aiding restocking near counters, and collaborating with store colleagues to provide prompt and courteous service.

Key Qualifications

• Competency in operating POS systems and accurately managing various payment forms.
• Excellent customer service skills characterized by polite communication, patience, and helpfulness.
• Fundamental numerical and analytical capabilities for bill handling, discounts, returns, and cash reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and dependability in adhering to company protocols, record maintenance, and maintaining transaction confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work on-site in Indore, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Prior retail experience, cashiering, or front-desk roles are preferred but not mandatory.
• At least a high school diploma or equivalent; additional commerce or accounting education is advantageous.
• Physical ability to stand for long durations and perform tasks typical of a retail setting.
