Overview

NT Temps is hiring a Cafeteria Helper for a full-time role in Alliston, Ontario, Canada. This position is based on site in a rural area, so the work must be completed at the physical location with no remote option.

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience

Applicants should have between 1 and less than 7 months of related experience.

Work Setting

The job is located in a rural area.

Responsibilities

Carry clean dishes, cutlery, and other service items to serving areas and arrange tables.
Clear away used dishes and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
Load buspans and trays as needed.
Run dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, and flatware.
Store dishes properly after washing.
Refill condiments and other supplies at tables and service counters.
Wash and sanitize dishes and related items by hand when required.
Scrub pots and pans.
Portion and wrap food items.
Prepare, warm, and complete basic food items.
Serve customers at counters or buffet stations.
Restock refrigerators and salad bars.
Take customer orders.
Use manual and electric equipment to clean, peel, slice, and trim food ingredients.
Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
Handle and store cleaning products safely.
Remove kitchen waste and garbage.
Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.

Equipment and Machinery Experience

Experience with an electronic cash register is required.
