CAD Drafter

Overview

The CAD Drafter role involves supporting the development of design documents and detailed drawings for various projects in natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial sectors. The focus areas include mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural elements. This position requires creating detailed two-dimensional and three-dimensional construction drawings such as plans, sections, elevations, schematics, and bills of materials derived from models, redline markups, and sketches, under the guidance of engineers or designers. This role is based in the office located in Derwent, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate redline drawings promptly and efficiently
• Adhere strictly to company or client CAD standards
• Perform scanning, copying, and plotting of drawings
• Prepare as-built drawings using field red-line inputs
• Create moderate complexity drawings including P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics, schematics, and one-line diagrams
• Draft orthographic projections, annotations, details, section cuts, and other related drawings
• Generate standard drawings, cover sheets, notes, and legends
• Ensure all work complies with accuracy requirements and meets project deadlines
• Conduct peer review of drawings for quality assurance

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or higher in Drafting & Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Acrobat or Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, and Excel
• Capable of collaborating within a multidisciplinary team environment under the supervision of senior personnel
