Job Overview
This position involves ensuring technical compliance of vendor offerings with specified requirements, managing initial vendor negotiations for assigned product categories, and processing purchase orders accurately within the SAP system. The role includes active coordination to resolve audit-related procurement issues and escalating complex challenges as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate and float enquiries for designated items in line with user requirements.
- Verify the alignment between user-provided technical specifications and vendor submissions, escalating discrepancies to senior procurement leadership.
- Conduct preliminary vendor negotiations and prepare findings for review by the Buying Manager for deal closure.
- Place orders for approved items and ensure accurate data entry within the SAP procurement module.
- Respond promptly to internal and external procurement audit queries and escalate unresolved issues to senior buyers or managers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Engineering.
- Have 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in category-specific sourcing and manufacturing sectors.
- Prior experience in category-focused purchasing is preferred.
- Working knowledge of supply chain management within plant operations is advantageous.

- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Understanding of equipment, manufacturing processes, and maintenance operations.
