Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Butcher based onsite in Dubai who will be responsible for the preparation of premium meat and seafood products that comply with PrepHero’s health-oriented standards. The daily duties involve cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning different types of meats and poultry. The role also includes the proper handling, cleaning, and preparation of seafood.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute precise cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning of meat and poultry items.
- Apply appropriate cleaning and preparation procedures for seafood to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain rigorous hygiene protocols, food safety practices, and correct storage conditions.
- Label and organize inventory efficiently to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen teams to fulfill daily production goals and meal plan specifications.
- Ensure portion accuracy while minimizing waste following nutrition guidelines.
- Occasionally liaise with internal teams or customers to uphold product excellence and service quality.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in butchery and meat processing techniques.
- Proficient experience handling poultry with safety and proper preparation methods.
- Knowledge of seafood handling, including cleaning, storage, and quality control.
- Customer-oriented approach supporting team efforts and maintaining high standards.
- Understanding of food safety laws, HACCP principles, and sanitation practices.
- Prior relevant experience in butchery or similar food production roles, preferably within catering or meal preparation industries.
- Capability to perform well in fast-paced culinary environments with keen attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and safely operate cutting tools and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of nutrition or healthy eating is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts according to production schedules.
