Reporting to the Analytics & BI Manager, you will be instrumental in creating high-quality BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, analyze data from various sources, and design semantic models based on star schema principles. Develop insightful and intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their reporting needs and translate these into impactful analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Create, manage, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and business metrics using Power Query, data transformations, parameters, deployment pipelines, and adhere to Power BI best practices.
  • Apply star schema principles to design and maintain semantic models including fact and dimension tables for scalable and trusted reporting.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems to highlight trends and insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Convert and improve legacy Excel reports into governed, scalable Power BI solutions.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of reporting outputs through thorough validation, reconciliation, and monitoring.
  • Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) to enable secure and role-appropriate access to reports.
  • Maintain both technical and user documentation, provide support and training to users, and work with data engineering teams to utilize enterprise data platforms such as Databricks.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Power BI development.
  • Proficiency in Power BI development including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, data transformations, RLS, and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of star schema design, facts and dimension tables, and best practices for data modeling.
  • Solid experience with SQL for analyzing, validating, and reconciling data across multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, engage stakeholders, and deliver intuitive analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Experience upgrading Excel-based reports to scalable Power BI solutions; familiarity with Azure and Databricks is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with aptitude for explaining technical details to non-technical audiences.
  • Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate and other Microsoft Data & Analytics certifications.

Benefits & Culture

  • Work in a flexible hybrid work environment that supports work-life balance.
  • Access to professional growth opportunities including training programs and a 10-week mentoring scheme to help you excel.
  • Enjoy perks like discounted corporate private health insurance, free flu vaccinations, and salary continuance insurance for illness or injury protection.
  • Additional paid summer and winter wellness days to recharge.
  • Competitive remuneration and reward schemes recognizing your contributions.
  • Paid parental leave and paid volunteer leave to support your family and community involvement.
