About the role
This position suits a commercially focused professional who can translate scientific expertise into customer-oriented services that create measurable value.
As Business Development Manager – Industry Services, you will partner with service leaders, scientists, and commercial teams to uncover opportunities, deepen customer relationships, and help grow the Industry Services portfolio. The role blends market awareness, business development, and commercial judgement to shape services that respond to industry demand and support business success.
What you will do
- Spot and pursue new as well as existing business opportunities within the Industry Services portfolio.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers, industry collaborators, and other stakeholders.
- Review market trends, customer requirements, and how services are performing.
- Support the creation of business cases, value propositions, and growth strategies.
- Work with service leaders to refine, expand, and optimise service offerings.
- Contribute to a customer-first and commercially effective approach across Industry Services.
About you
You are naturally curious, comfortable with analysis, and driven by the chance to uncover opportunities that create value.
- You have experience in business development, consulting, commercial analysis, service management, or a similar area.
- You are skilled at building relationships and engaging stakeholders effectively.
- You can turn technical or scientific ideas into clear, persuasive customer solutions.
- You bring commercial and financial understanding, including exposure to business cases, pricing, or performance analysis.
- You communicate well and can influence others effectively.
