Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Role Overview

Next Hires Management Consultancies is urgently seeking experienced Business Development Managers & Executives specializing in Freight Forwarding to join an international client based in the UAE. Candidates must currently reside in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and be willing to relocate if necessary. This position focuses exclusively on the freight forwarding sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Expand import, export, and cross-trade business across Sea, Air, and Land freight by securing new customers.
• Surpass sales targets as defined by the head of sales, contributing toward the annual budget goals.
• Maintain a solid sales pipeline for all target and potential accounts, emphasizing vertical markets prioritized by the company.
• Ensure daily updates of pricing and opportunity status in the CRM system.
• Continuously relay market rate information and conditions to the pricing team.
• Update client activity records in CRM at least weekly, guaranteeing data accuracy.
• Organize agendas and meetings for visiting clients by coordinating appropriate interactions.
• Engage proactively in special projects and initiatives assigned by sales leadership.
• Achieve gross profit targets at a minimum of 3 to 4 times the target salary.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in business development within the freight forwarding industry.
• Between 2 to 4 years of sales experience specifically in Air and Sea freight forwarding.
• Existing customer network in the relevant market is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, freight forwarding products, and related services.
• Possession of a valid driving license is required.
