Business Analyst

Role Overview

Pacer Group is looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract assignment in Toronto, Ontario. The role supports BFSI-focused work and is set up in a hybrid/onsite arrangement.

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is CAD 45 to 50 per hour, offered on an incorporated basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, improve, and support interactive reporting dashboards and BI solutions using Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Excel.
• Develop robust data models by applying DAX, Power Query, SQL, and semantic modeling techniques.
• Analyze datasets to uncover patterns, translate findings into insights, and communicate recommendations through strong visual storytelling.
• Pull together data from different systems through ETL workflows while maintaining accuracy, consistency, governance, and overall data quality.
• Handle urgent and one-off reporting requests and encourage BI standards and best practices across business and technology groups.
• Partner with stakeholders in an Agile setting using ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence to deliver effective solutions.
• Work with large volumes of data to automate reporting and help improve operational performance and decision-making.

Skills and Tools

This position calls for hands-on experience with Power BI and related Microsoft tools, data modeling, analytics, ETL, SQL, and Agile collaboration tools.
