Brand Designer – Skincare E-commerce

Role overview

This contract opportunity is suited to a creative brand specialist with solid experience in visual identity and art direction, especially across skincare and e-commerce. The assignment centers on helping shape the look and feel of a new skincare start-up so it can make a strong impact in a competitive space.

You will review and improve existing brand guidelines, get to the heart of the brand story, and turn that into polished visual assets for both digital and print use. Working alongside key stakeholders, you will ensure all design outputs support the brand’s values and broader marketing direction.

Key deliverables

• Review and strengthen the brand system, covering logo use, typography, colour direction, icon styles, and imagery standards.
• Create mood boards and art direction references that guide the overall creative approach.
• Write clear brief documents for photography and video production based on the brand’s identity.
• Direct the visual style for website and social media content so everything feels consistent across channels.
• Develop and steer campaign concepts and visuals, including direction for product photography.
• Partner with the marketing team to make sure creative work matches the wider marketing strategy.

Required background

Applicants should bring proven experience as a brand designer or creative director, ideally with exposure to skincare, beauty, or e-commerce brands. A strong portfolio is essential, showing capability in brand building, art direction, and visual storytelling.

Comfort using Adobe Creative Suite and related design software is expected, along with a strong eye for current design trends in skincare and e-commerce. The role also calls for someone who can assess and improve existing guidelines, communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and create effective production briefs for photography and video.

This is a short-term project, with the possibility of working together again in the future.
