BIM Coordinator

Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient development, coordination, and quality assurance of 3D building models throughout major construction projects. This position demands active participation in planning, programming, quality control, and safety compliance in close collaboration with design and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure that design coordination and 3D model development adhere strictly to predetermined schedules.
• Verify that 3D models accurately incorporate all instructions and modifications provided by consultants.
• Coordinate the development process of 3D models to allow timely integration with MEP and other trading works.
• Identify any discrepancies found in consultant drawings and facilitate timely resolution during model development.
• Oversee adherence to safety and occupational health protocols within the design section and among subcontractors, following Integrated Management System (IMS) safe work procedures.
• Enforce site implementation of safety standards consistent with IMS safe work methods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a degree or diploma in a relevant field.
• Demonstrate advanced skills in BIM operation.
• Have a minimum of five years’ experience in design coordination, particularly with architectural and structural disciplines within building construction.
• Proven ability to work independently, preferably with experience handling at least two large-scale construction projects.
