Role Summary
The Bellboy is the first point of contact for arriving and departing guests, offering courteous, efficient, and professional luggage handling and guest support. The role focuses on making stays smoother by assisting with arrivals, departures, room orientation, and timely responses to guest needs.
Key Duties
- Greet guests on arrival in a welcoming, polished, and professional manner.
- Handle guest luggage carefully, including loading, unloading, moving, and delivering bags safely.
- Accompany guests to rooms and explain room features, hotel services, and available facilities.
- Share details about amenities, dining options, meeting spaces, and nearby attractions.
- Support the Front Office team with check-in and check-out activities when needed.
- Respond quickly to guest questions, requests, and concerns, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Coordinate transport services such as taxis, airport transfers, and valet support as required.
- Keep guest luggage stored securely and maintain accurate baggage records.
- Ensure the lobby, entryway, and baggage storage areas stay tidy, orderly, and guest-ready.
- Deliver messages, parcels, mail, and requested amenities to guest rooms without delay.
- Offer guidance on directions, local attractions, and nearby services.
- Follow hotel security and safety procedures to protect guests, belongings, and property.
- Work closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and Security teams to coordinate service.
- Assist during emergencies and carry out instructions from management as needed.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the Front Office Manager, Bell Captain, or hotel leadership.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior exposure to hotel operations or customer-facing work is preferred.
- Basic English communication ability; additional language skills are a plus.
- Enough physical fitness to lift and carry luggage safely.
- Neat personal presentation and grooming that meets hotel standards.
Additional Information
Customer service experience is considered an advantage.
The role requires the ability to stay effective under pressure in a busy, fast-moving environment.
Strong communication and a professional manner are important.
The job calls for teamwork and close cooperation with colleagues.
Work Environment
Location: Al Corniche, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. Full-time, onsite role.
