About the Role
This position is offered by Atlas BFW Management Ltd (Atlas), a fully owned subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful candidates will be employed under Atlas Terms and Conditions. Atlas provides managed healthcare facilities and property management services to clients primarily across Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre, and North Lancashire, supporting frontline clinical services and patient care delivery.
The Bank Transport Driver will ensure efficient transport services mainly at NHS facilities in Lancaster, Blackpool, Kendal, Barrow, and nearby areas. The role requires adaptability to adjust routes and plans as needed to meet deadlines, and a pleasant demeanor to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, clients, and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, reliable transport services to NHS properties.
- Independently manage and revise routes to respond to changing conditions and maintain schedules.
- Engage courteously with patients, staff, and the public to support daily tasks.
- Foster cooperative working relationships by regularly liaising with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including NHS Trusts and Atlas staff.
- Exemplify Atlas’ values in behavior and professionalism, including honesty, integrity, respect, equality, and personal accountability.
