Role overview
This position supports a partner employer and involves both hands-on audiovisual work and remote technical assistance. The job is centered on keeping live events, conference setups, and digital tools running smoothly for users and teams in the United States.
You will split your time between onsite event support and remote helpdesk tasks, helping people resolve technical issues, maintain system reliability, and deliver a polished experience across different environments. The role is a strong fit for someone who is solution-oriented, comfortable with travel, and able to work across varied technologies.
The position includes regular travel, roughly once a month, while otherwise following a remote-first working model. It also offers exposure to fast-moving event settings, collaboration with multiple teams, and opportunities to develop both technical and customer-facing skills.
Key accountabilities
- Install, test, run, and fix audiovisual equipment during conferences and live events.
- Provide onsite technical support so events operate without disruption.
- Offer professional guidance and user support to clients, speakers, and internal stakeholders.
- Handle remote helpdesk requests, including software setup, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with onboarding by giving technical introductions and support to new users.
- Support digital platform administration, including Salesforce Experience Cloud setup, user access, and issue resolution.
- Work with stakeholders to identify problems clearly and implement workable solutions.
- Keep current with helpdesk methods, internal tools, and changing technology processes.
- Travel approximately once per month for onsite event support.
Requirements
- Background as an AV technician, helpdesk support specialist, or in a comparable technical support role.
- High school diploma or GED is required; a related degree is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English skills at an advanced level.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and client-facing abilities.
- Strong customer service mindset with a professional approach.
- Experience resolving software, hardware, and access-related technical problems.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud, including configuration, user administration, and troubleshooting.
- Good planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-changing, high-paced setting.
- Willingness to travel about once a month.
- Valid U.S. entry visa is mandatory.
