Role Overview
We are seeking experienced professionals such as RBTs, BCaBAs, BCBAs, Special Education Professionals, Occupational Therapists, or Speech-Language Pathologists to extend their expertise beyond clinical settings. This role focuses on empowering autistic teenagers and young adults by applying therapeutic and educational skills in real-world contexts to foster meaningful independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support within clients' homes and community environments.
- Assist clients in enhancing their independence through daily living skill development.
- Facilitate growth in emotional regulation and communication abilities.
- Manage behavioral challenges with safety and respect.
- Execute personalized support plans effectively.
- Work collaboratively with families and organizational leadership to ensure cohesive care.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years' experience working with autistic adolescents or adults.
- Proven background supporting individuals with moderate to high needs.
- Competence in handling aggression, severe emotional instability, sensory overload, and other complex behaviors.
- Certified crisis intervention training such as CPI, PCM, QBS, Pro-ACT, or an equivalent program.
- Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.
- Access to reliable transportation is essential.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, based on experience.
- Initial part-time employment with prospects for expanded hours and advancement into leadership roles.
