Role Overview

We are searching for a highly skilled Associate lawyer who possesses exceptional drafting skills in Arabic and English and has a dedication to advancing a successful legal career. The Associate will be responsible for daily legal operations and leading assigned workstreams under supervision, ensuring accurate and timely execution of legal duties while providing practical, innovative solutions for complex legal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare various legal instruments including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, and service agreements.
• Offer pertinent legal counsel and formulate clear recommendations for multifaceted transactions.
• Analyze complex legal documents, summarize key points, and suggest amendments where appropriate, maintaining keen attention to detail.
• Participate in legal due diligence and assist with mergers and acquisitions.
• Draft memoranda, pleadings, and briefs for commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Design work plans, allocate tasks, manage risks, and maintain file organization in accordance with timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor billable hours and case progress; utilize legal document management and time-tracking tools to optimize workflow.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Contribute to institutional knowledge by writing legal articles and newsletters.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Law or Sharia is required; an LL.M is advantageous.
• At least 4 years of substantive experience with well-regarded law firms.
• Expertise in drafting legal documents fluently in both Arabic and English.
• Proficiency with legal technology platforms for document and task management.
• Deep understanding of Saudi law, Sharia principles, commercial/business law, including local and international contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice and devise innovative solutions for complex business matters.
