Associate Sample Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Handle various sample and standard procedures such as receiving, logging, labeling, launching, inventory management, transport, and return or disposal to support laboratory functions.
• Communicate sample and standard status updates to relevant laboratory personnel.
• Advise and assist laboratory staff in adhering to sample and standard handling protocols.
• Complete necessary investigations and deviation documentation, evaluating corrective and preventive actions.
• Review laboratory requests for compliance with established standard operating procedures.
• Provide training on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage policies; respond to environmental unit alarms and participate in assigned on-call rotations.
• Perform assignments accurately, efficiently, and safely in compliance with regulatory standards.

• This entry-level position centers on sample management and excludes laboratory testing or analytical duties.

Work Schedule and Location

• Work schedule requires commitment to five days weekly, including weekends and holidays, according to assigned shifts.
• Available shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Worksite located at 61 The Galen, Science Park Road, Singapore.

Qualifications and Experience

• High or secondary school diploma or equivalent educational qualification, supplemented by relevant formal academic or vocational training.
• Technical certifications relevant to the role may be necessary.
• Minimum of two years of comparable experience or an equivalent combination of education and training providing the skills required for this function.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Fundamental understanding of inventory flow and control systems.
• Familiarity with laboratory and regulatory mandates, including documentation and sample storage standards.
• Capability to draft and review SOPs and propose process enhancements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project handling abilities.
• Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within team settings.

Work Environment

• Work is conducted within regulated laboratory environments, including areas requiring work in sub-zero temperatures.
• Tasks may involve handling biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious agents and shift work requirements.
• Ability to manage priorities and performance under deadlines in sometimes high-pressure conditions.
