Position Summary
We are recruiting an Associate to join an esteemed European alternative investment firm focused on Infrastructure Investments. Based in Munich, the role is full-time and requires proficiency in both German and English. The Associate will engage across infrastructure fund investments, co-investments, and secondary market transactions, gaining exposure from transaction evaluation to portfolio management.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with familiarity in infrastructure fund investments, direct co-investments, or secondary transactions are favored. Experience in sectors such as renewable energy, energy transition, digital infrastructure, utilities, transportation & logistics, telecommunications, environmental and social infrastructure will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze infrastructure fund investments, co-investments, and secondary opportunities primarily in Europe and North America.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment return projections to support decision-making.
- Lead comprehensive commercial, financial, and operational due diligence on prospective investments.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda, financial analyses, and presentation materials for review by the Investment Committee.
- Engage actively with fund managers, management teams, industry consultants, and other external stakeholders to foster relationships.
- Conduct in-depth market research covering infrastructure sectors, investment trends, and macroeconomic conditions.
- Assist in portfolio construction and strategic allocation, supporting ongoing risk and performance monitoring of existing investments.
- Contribute to global fundraising initiatives, investor communication, and address complex investor due diligence inquiries.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or closely related quantitative fields with strong academic credentials.
- Possess 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in Infrastructure Private Equity, Investment Banking (especially M&A), Infrastructure Advisory, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or other Private Markets.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Expertise in financial modeling, valuation methods, and quantitative analysis.
- Excellent commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities to clearly convey complex financial insights.
- International mindset with the capability to excel in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
