Role Summary

The Associate in Capital Management will work within the Balance Sheet Management team, focusing on optimizing capital and portfolio management to support strategic company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimize portfolios by managing matching adjustments.
  • Concentrate efforts on capital requirement efficiency.
  • Develop scenario-driven Asset-Liability Management (ALM) models to guide strategic choices.
  • Perform detailed analyses on capital impacts under diverse economic and regulatory scenarios.
  • Investigate capital relief methods such as financial and captive reinsurance.
  • Evaluate, quantify, and integrate such capital relief mechanisms into routine processes.

Decision-Making Authority

Provide critical insights into the financial status and sensitivities of the organization, optimizing capital use to foster sustainable development.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum five years of actuarial experience in the life and health valuation sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Singapore's Risk Based Capital 2 framework.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to inspire and lead team members to timely project completion.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with diverse internal and external parties including finance teams, investment departments, regulators, auditors, reinsurers, and headquarters.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science.
  • Progressing towards actuarial professional certification.
