Associate Assembler - Evening Shift

Join Edwards Lifesciences and contribute to creating life-changing medical devices that positively impact patients worldwide. As a member of the manufacturing team, you will be directly involved in assembling, sewing, and preparing devices, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

Working Hours

This position operates on an evening schedule from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, and on Thursday the shift ends at 2:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize various tools and equipment to accurately and efficiently assemble medical device components following detailed work instructions, drawings, and computer-guided processes.
• Maintain compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and record traceable information accurately on device history records and manufacturing systems.
• Perform thorough line clearance by cleaning and sanitizing workstations at the start of shifts and when switching work orders, ensuring readiness of all necessary components and tools.
• Self-monitor quality through visual inspections and collaborate with team members by reviewing each other's work and providing constructive feedback; escalate issues or equipment concerns to supervisors.
• Demonstrate punctuality and consistent attendance, ensuring full completion of assigned work period (minimum of 8 hours).
• Ensure general housekeeping of the work area, supporting a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Leaving Certificate or equivalent is preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, including reading and comprehension, along with basic numerical aptitude.
• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to adhere to Edwards' Environmental Health and Safety and Quality standards, particularly in clean-room medical device production.
• Demonstrated capability to undergo and apply training for new and advanced procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset, able to collaborate closely with colleagues and supervisors.
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime to support uninterrupted manufacturing activities.
• Strict compliance with company policies including pandemic protocols and environmental safety measures to prevent injury and pollution.
