Job Summary
This role involves conducting comprehensive chemical, physical, and chromatographic tests within the Chemistry Lab, including analysis of raw materials and finished products. The Associate Analyst will also maintain lab equipment, lead laboratory projects, and offer guidance to fellow analysts and management as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of testing methods such as chemical, chromatographic, and physical assessments to support manufacturing processes including raw material and product release evaluations.
- Lead and implement laboratory initiatives like Method Transfers, Validations, Verifications, and Equipment Qualifications.
- Generate data insights through trend analysis, technical and investigational reports, providing actionable recommendations from findings.
- Prepare and update laboratory documentation including control forms and standard operating instructions.
- Assist lab supervisors during internal, corporate, and customer audits.
- Lead and collaborate in problem-solving teams to identify and resolve lab issues including Out of Specification (OOS) events.
- Serve as a technical resource to support colleagues and cross-functional project teams.
- Spearhead continuous improvement projects within the laboratory setting.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ISO standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to laboratory personnel.
- Stay abreast of advances in analytical technologies and techniques.
- Comply with the company's Guiding Principles, Code of Conduct, and all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in chemistry or quality control testing within pharmaceutical, medical devices, or manufacturing industries.
- Proficient in analytical chromatography methods including Atomic Absorption (AA), Liquid Chromatography (LC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), and compendial testing.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP environments.
- Proven experience leading lab-based projects.
- Competent in IT skills and preparing technical documents.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures related to the role.
- Engagement in Lean Sigma initiatives to achieve continuous improvement goals.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from €44,968 to €57,232. Compensation is determined impartially based on qualifications, skills, experience, geographic location, and role responsibilities. Eligible candidates may also partake in variable compensation, incentive programs, and comprehensive employee benefits as applicable.
