Role overview

An opportunity has opened within the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The post involves supporting a highly specialist service for patients and families using the neuroscience centre, while working under the guidance of a consultant clinical neuropsychologist or clinical neuropsychologist.

The role begins in the Paediatric Neuropsychology service, with the possibility of moving into the adjacent Adult Neuropsychology service at a later stage.

What you will do

You will contribute to the delivery of a clinical neuropsychology service for adults and children with a range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions, as well as their families and carers. The work includes administering neuropsychological tests and helping with interventions.

You will also take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of audit, service development, and research activity within the neuropsychology service.

The position calls for a good level of independence and initiative, while still working within departmental and occupational standards and receiving regular clinical and research supervision at agreed intervals to review progress and plan work.

Department and trust context

The Trust operates across four hospitals: John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington, plus Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Values and working culture

The Trust describes its approach as delivering compassionate excellence. Its values are compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement, and excellence, with patients placed at the centre of care.

Interview information

Interviews will be held in person on Wednesday 19th August. Candidates must be available on that date and able to travel to Oxford.
