Key Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes
The role focuses on several key result areas vital to driving business success at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. These include revenue generation, profitability improvement, working capital management, and maintaining operational controls.
Drive Profitable Growth
- Steer revenue growth for MFL (Madura Fashion & Lifestyle) brands.
- Improve EBITDA performance for MFL brands.
Manage Working Capital
- Control debtor days efficiently.
- Conduct collection follow-ups and handle hold situations effectively.
Implement Profit Improvement Plans
- Identify leakage points and opportunities for enhancing channel profitability.
- Coordinate with branches and MDPs (Market Development Partners) to recover overdue amounts by scheduled dates.
- Optimize discount budget savings.
- Manage debiting of overdrafts older than 180 days to MDPs.
Adherence to SOPs and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with management audits.
- Conduct customer reconciliations and confirm balances.
- Close all provisions within 90 days after seasonal closures.
- Detect and correct flaws in the IT systems.
- Provide detailed information and clarifications to auditors concerning provisions.
- Standardize contractual agreements.
- Implement process improvements consistently.
Critical General Ledger (GL) Analysis
- Examine discount provision accounts to verify sufficiency of provisions.
- Assess return provision accounts to ensure adequacy.
