Area Sales Manager - Kitchen Worktops

Job Overview

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager specializing in Kitchen Worktops and Large Format Slabs to cover the Midlands and South of England, with a possible emphasis on London. This role involves field sales of a range of manufactured large format slabs used for kitchen worktops. The position requires championing these products, managing a broad client base, and expanding market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field sales focused on large format slabs for kitchen worktops.
• Act as the product advocate for large format slabs throughout southern regions of the UK.
• Spend approximately 70% of time managing and developing relationships with around 100 kitchen studios and independent kitchen and bathroom retail clients.
• Dedicate about 30% of time managing and growing partnerships with 10 to 15 stonemasons and worktop fabricators.
• Increase kitchen worktop revenue from £175,000 to £250,000 during the first year.
• Make roughly 15 customer visits weekly.
• Be prepared for overnight travel as needed, covering a large geographic area.
• Travel internationally 3-4 times annually to Spain and Italy.
• Support merchandising, training, development, and nurturing of kitchen studios and kitchen & bathroom retailers as required.

Candidate Profile

• Must have previous field sales experience in kitchen worktops; a combination of slab and tile sales experience is acceptable.
• At least two years’ experience in field sales.
• Experience selling to kitchen studios, merchants, retail showrooms, stonemasons or worktop fabricators is preferred.
• A hardworking, honest individual displaying professionalism and strong organizational skills.
• Able to manage territory efficiently and handle substantial UK travel mileage.
• Willing to undertake international travel as part of the role.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Salary ranges between £45,000 and £55,000 annually, plus a potential bonus of up to £12,000.
