Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Graduate to join our Melbourne office to support experienced architects through professional architectural tasks across various building projects. This position involves assisting with initial design drawings based on client requirements, conducting site inspections, contributing to design development, project documentation, 3D modeling, presentation materials, contract administration help, data analysis, and reporting following company standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have an accredited Masters degree in Architecture. Key skills include a fundamental understanding of architectural principles, building materials and construction methods, and basic engineering knowledge related to buildings (structural, electrical, mechanical). Familiarity with building codes, standards, and cost considerations is important. Candidates should also possess strong design creativity, communication abilities, and teamwork skills.

Technical Proficiencies

• Capability to prepare presentation documents and preliminary architectural drawings aligned with client briefs.
• Ability to analyze client requirements and interact with clients to clarify project intents.
• Conducting site inspections to document conditions accurately.
• Develop innovative and contextually responsive design elements considering project goals, budgets, and buildability.
• Understanding how to incorporate cost and time estimates into project planning.
• Collaborating with specialist consultants by creating necessary preliminary drawings and cost estimations.
• Assessing change requests and advising on appropriate plan modifications.
• Periodic project inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and participation in final project evaluations.
