Overview
Join Microsoft as an Applied Sciences Intern, where you'll engage with a global community of university interns and have the opportunity to apply your skills in innovative projects. This internship offers a platform to develop your expertise in advanced research, notably in areas such as machine intelligence and machine learning, while contributing to impactful products and services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of sophisticated algorithms applied to extensive datasets within machine learning and artificial intelligence domains.
- Analyze product scenarios to define objectives and challenges, translating these into machine learning tasks with well-designed experimental strategies for iterative refinement.
- Create functional prototypes for scalable AI systems and applications.
- Develop a broad understanding of relevant research fields and industry trends to share insights with team members.
- Prepare and assess datasets for analysis, ensuring data quality by selecting suitable data and addressing any technical constraints or issues.
- Support the assembly of datasets for modeling and facilitate feature ideation and data preparation at scale.
- Under guidance, convert cleaned data into formats suitable for machine learning models.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Must have at least one academic term remaining following the internship period.
