AI Technical Lead

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned AI Technical Lead to spearhead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions. This position emphasizes defining technical roadmaps, mentoring AI engineers, and overseeing scalable, secure implementations suitable for production environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of AI projects from initial concept and prototyping through to deployment in production systems.
• Establish and enforce best practices for AI development, including architecture and code reviews.
• Manage technical risks and provide leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units, application developers, data engineers, security teams, infrastructure specialists, and DevOps professionals.
• Ensure solutions uphold AI governance and Responsible AI principles including LLMOps and MLOps.

Required Experience and Skills

• Over 8 years in software engineering or related AI/ML technologies with at least 5 years hands-on AI/ML development experience.
• Expertise in Python programming and enterprise application development.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, RAG, Prompt Engineering, NLP, Machine Learning, embeddings, and vector database technologies.
• Experience building AI Agents with workflow orchestration, memory handling, and tool integrations.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, Microsoft AI Stack, Mastra AI, Semantic Kernel.
• Proficiency with cloud-based AI platforms, especially Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, and comparable cloud ecosystems.
• Capability in AI evaluation metrics addressing groundedness, hallucination detection, retrieval quality, and task completion accuracy.
• Background in integrating AI with enterprise APIs and other business applications.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructures, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, observability tools, monitoring, security protocols, and handling production support.
• Strong management of AI governance, Responsible AI frameworks, LLMOps, and MLOps methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
• Preferred experience in delivering AI solutions to sectors such as government, public sector, banking, tourism, or large-scale enterprises.
• Proficiency in Arabic language is highly advantageous.
• Experience evaluating AI-generated content in Arabic and English adds significant value.
• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure AI, Machine Learning, AI technologies, cloud platforms, or similar areas will be a plus.
